Pure Vitamin E oil, you can either buy it in a bottle at any drug store, or break open vitamin e capsules, the bottle is much easier though.

Sometimes, a doctor will prescribe a topical vitamin A cream, like Retin A. Never take it if there is any chance you might be pregnant. Otherwise, stretch marks should fade, eventually. It just takes time. Rapid weight gain and loss can prolong the redness.

The only reference I have in my collection that discusses stretch marks is Adelle Davis's Let's Get Well (see the index). She gives a number of observations and recommendations on how to ameliorate the problem.

I have rid myself of old stretch marks using regular lotion and self massage daily. I really think the key is daily. You can't smear some magic cream and expect they'll go away, you have to keep at it for a while.

get whitening cream or bleaching cream that contains hydroquinone from the drug store. this will significantly lighten the marks but not get rid of them completely...... it can be quite costly though.... depending on the brand you use
I also have heard that rubbing lemon juice on the marks helps also.........
