Plasma is more expensive, uses more power, and is heavier. They have higher maintenance costs and are less numerous than LCD's. On the plus side you do get a brighter picture. My advice is to go with a bigger sized LCD rather than a more expensive plasma.

That is debatable. Plasma is supposed to last longer but you can generally achieve a higher resolution with LCD

plasmas go bad in 5 years, LCD will last you a way longer. if i were u, i'd get an LCD

Plasma gives a brighter picture, but LCD is more reliable (AFAIK).

You might want to take a look at the Genoa "ColorPeak" LCDs when they hit the market, they are supposed to look awesome!

LCD is better overall, and my favorite choice among them is the Sony XBR LCD HDTV.

Definately LCD, better picture, but DLP beats both.

lcd is better it lasts longer and doesn't use as much energy
