I find both of their furniture unaccepatable. I also find Ethan Allen acceptable but overprice for the quality you get there. Since you did not mention the price range you are looking for, I can only give you a list of furniture manufacturers that I have experienced with.

Drexel, Baker, Henkel Harris, Henredon, Pennsylvania House, Stickley, Statton, Century, Thomasville, Bernhardt, Bevan Funnell, French Heritage, Lexington, American Drew, Craftique, E.J. Victor...just to name a few.

I have provided all the above links below... some of these websites are very comprehensive. I do all my furniture shopping through the internet. Once you have pick what you like, you can then call the local furniture stores and asked if they can order it for you. Enjoy!

For leather furniture, I would recommend, Hancock and Moore
(http://www.hancockandmoore.com/ ) and American Leather
(http://www.americanleather.com/).

I kinda agree with the last post. I think both stores are pieces of crap and Ive found their products at stores like target and foleys with different names on it. Ethen Allen is awesome but overpriced. I really like Pennsylvannia house. I bought a sofa from Dillards who sells it. High quality and style but cheaper than Ethan Allen. Besides why buy a sofa from someone who sells cooking dishes?

Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars. Here's the bottom line: If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to.

fyi...The same factory makes the furniture for both of them. Pottery barn has better service.

C&B makes high quality couches. My mom bought one 14 years ago and it still is in wonderful shape. If you go to the store, they explain the process they use to make them. Much better quality than PB.

don't forget both these stores have outlet stores in the US. PBs is near dayton, OH. CBs is in chicago area. I would check those out before I bought.
