you can come right away. then you need to get married within 90 days and apply for the greencard using the I-130 and the I-485 forms at the same time.
TO clarify this is after you have recieved the K-1 visa in your passport. If you only have the K-1 visa approval go the embassy and get the K-1 then follow the above advice.

"Apply" for what? If the US Embassy gave you a K-1 visa (put the visa 'sticker' in your passport), it is valid immediately. If you mean that your fiance submitted his I-129F petition for you at an embassy and it was approved, you still need to apply for the visa itself.

As far as I know, you can come as soon as you get the visa. Examine it closely to see what restrictions, if any, it prescribes.
