ther are some things i feel ya'll are not thinking about. when those people capture prisoners, they are tortured severely. they have cut heads of with just a knife. poured gas on prisoners and set them on fire. as for these soldiers, for what i've read, they were only following orders.from what i have read in the responses to my question i see that the majority of ya'll feel they were in the wrong. just remember terrorism is on a rise and i feel things are only going to get worse. we have to show the world we will not put up with this. i lost a very good friend on 9/11 in the trade centers. and my cousin was killed in this war. 2 people that meant alot to me. unarmed innocent civilans ya'll say. who knows who they were. over 2,500 americans have died over there. if we are not to kill the enemy, then our people need to come back home and we do nothing the next time terrorist kill alot of innocent people. orders were approved by higher ups, they were just follwing orders too.

Their job does not include the premeditated murder, attempted murder and conspiracy against detainees, only combatants. They are also accused of obstructing justice and threatening a fellow soldier who witnessed the shootings, telling him they would kill him if he talked.

Soldiers do not have a license to kill at will. There are rules they must follow and these guys killed unarmed civilians. This is not condoned or wanted it only inflames the local population and proves the enemy propaganda is true we're just a bunch of murdering crusaders. When these guys are convicted the enemy can't say we don't hold our own accountable. This would be especially true with a death sentence. Hopefully anyone else thinking of pulling this crap will now think twice knowing that the command won't hide your crime.

In just about every conflict the U.S.has been in, an example has had to be set, when the conflict slows, the U.S. looks at a questionable firefight. From questionable,it's court Marshall time, your punishment is doled out according to your misdeed and it's severity, the more it looks like murder, not combat, this country will step in, then do what it has to.

I don't think the death penalty is appropriate but if what we have read is true I don't think that a medal is appropriate either.

they say you are what you eat,, maybe you should change your diet, no one should get a pass for murder, if in fact it was,, there are military codes of ethics that come first for every US soldier
