I don't know were the cheapest place to buy it is, but I hate to burst your bubble. Computers stopped coming with any kind of MS product a while ago. You will have to buy microsoft office, the student teacher version at most retailers costs about 150$. Talk about rip! And if you aren't a student or a teacher its 300$, but I am not, and I just said I was and entered in a school that one of my friends was going to.

Laptops don't usually come with FREE excel unless or otherwise stated in the softwares included. However, you can download free office suite which also includes excel from the following web-site.

I second the OpenOffice option. It's virtually identical to the Microsoft applications, it can read AND Write MSOffice files and it is FREE!

Ask around, someone has it and may be prepared to let you borrow it to load on to your computer. once you buy it you can load it more than once
