hey i agree whit all of u but u still gave me thumbs down , funny uh ??? however the only way to do this is whit agrements not by insulting each other , americans smugling weapons to doesn't mean all americans are like that .

by the way smugling violence is worst than anything , violence is why many Mexicans have to leave Mex .

Yes, I am living in Canada and the guns coming up from the States is a huge problem right now.

As well, I read in our local news this past week that Canada will be arming our border guards in 2007. So, Canada is focusing a lot more on their border security, too.

It still wouldn't make a difference. A way would still be found even if it mean rubber suits or simply breaking the wire whenever suited. Add in the enourmous cost of having an electrical fence of that size along with how many would simply tap the fence for free electricity. Its not humanly possible. The only way to secure it is with solid manpower at the border and the only realistic way is with Military power, this means the National Guard. This would mean a form of militarizing the border. Having manned towers along with a road all along the border with a standard 20 foot fence or so. However this does also mean the military has to be allowed to treat illegal crossers as invaders and potential terrorists. This means the ability to attempt to stop, deter, and even shoot if people continue to attempt to cross illegally. Some will say its inhumane but its protecting the US, the American People, and illegal aliens would quickly stop attempting to cross. Not much different then if you pull a gun on a cop even if its unloaded and you get shot dead, its not the cops fault.

I guess so. I saw on the news that Canada is issuing guns to its Border Patrol for the first time, and that they will no longer be allowed to run away like they did before.

I agree! Let Canada and Mexico seal their borders! It will save us money, and it will stop the traffic coming in as well as going out of this country, right?

yes all borders need to be protected, some americans violate the laws and become illegals in canaduh and mexico, some bring guns to those countries and they are all criminals and should be punished as such.
as for making friends we have appeased mexico for far to long, all that has done is cause the mexican government to activly support the flood of illegal aliens into our country

Ah, yes blame Canada again. Some of these answerers are complete morons. The 9/11 terrorists all got into the US legally. They trained there. Stop passing the buck. What happened to your so-called individual spirit? Can't take responsibility for your own actions.

Huh. Whose country is allowing terrorists into the US from their borders? Seems to me that is an even bigger issue.
