a christian is supposed to be aganst lying, stealing, cheeting, and killing. but bush has done all these things over and over. i am a chirstian and i know that christians should act like one. did Christ do any of these things? NO! we should act like Christ. i have never heard bush tell the truth even once, and i wach the news every day, i wach the congressional reports, i keep up with almost every event. and bush has lied at all of them. he has killed our moms, dads, sons, daughters, freinds, ect. by sending them into a war bassed on lies. he has done every thing he can to push gas prices up and is collecting off the oil. (stealing from the people, min wage is the price of 1 gallon of gas in most places). he has cheeted people out of their jobs by paying the companys to send the jobs over seas.

why do "christians" support a man like this?

he has not killed any one with his own hand, but if you send some one to be killed it is just as bad. david (in the bible) did that and God charged him with murder.

I'm christian and i don't believe in what Bush is doing to the USA. Many people have died. I think that he is stupid for sending people to fight in the war. The gas is 3.00. It is so bad. I'm glad that Bush cant run again. I don't like what he is doing to the USA.

Christians just like everyone else are capable of sinning and doing most anything non-christians are. The difference is that a Christian accepts Christ sacrifice and His blood to justify us before God's judgement. That said there are plenty of Christians that don't support Bush, yourself being one as you stated. I've been around for many years and I have never seen a more biased media than we have now. Does Bush lie? Most surely, just like everyone else but I certainly don't believe he misleads the American people to justify a war or any other policy. Carter was one of the most moral presidents we have had but also one of the most ineffective. Sometimes, unfortunatly, you need a scoundral or not so nice person in that position to be effective. If the nation actually knew what all their presidents did in the past, that was covered up, they would be shocked.

To answer your question though. My perception of the reason most Christians supported Bush was that there was no perceived moral counterpart to him. Bush stays consistant with his stands and for the most part they are backed by a very moral personal belief. Sure he has faults and so does everyone else. As far as the reasons for war they may have been seemingly false but proof was discovered that the Weapons did exist and sometimes you have to make hard decisions. It wasn't just President Bush but Congress as well that was led to believe that WMD's were present.

The threat isn't as much as from North Korea, Iran, or Iraq or Syria for a direct attack on the US but that if they have the bomb that they will route it somehow through the underground into a terrorist hands and then into an American city. It doesn't matter which president you say you will find that each had their own skeletons and evils that could be held against them. Even if you don't like Bush he is at least consistant and sticks with his decisions and doesn't waver with each political poll and I certainly do believe that he holds the American way of life as his first concern and not what others think of him. I'm not a Bush supporter but I do respect him.

He was a better choice than Kerry. By the way Bush has saved many lives by pushing for the act that banned partial birth abortions. This has saved probably more lives then what has been lost in the Iraq war. I don't agree with the war but I definently don't agree with the slaughtering of innocent children by people who support abortion. If you're a christian I find it hard to believe you support murdering unborn children.

I am a christian and I did not vote for President Bush the first time. But I did the second time. As a christian I know what it says in the bible that in the end days before Christ comes back Israel will be reestablished and a Gentile nation shall stand with her and help defend her until Christ comes back. We are that Gentile nation that is spoken of in the bible. Why do you think God has shed his Grace on America as he has, when there are so many of us Americans displeasing God in the way we behave wickedly and treat each other. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of the immoral ways that their people were acting. They angered God so much he destroyed them. We are not fighting this war for ourselves alone. President Bush may be the Commander in Chief on this earth but believe me there is a lot higher Commander in Chief in charge.
If you have read your bible you will find so many passages were God actually sent out his people to war and handed up their enemy to them. There is only one God and we are not suppose to worship false gods or put them before God. Islam is the only religion on this earth that worships a false god. Allah is not a god and is not another name for God. I don't know about anyone else but I will follow God and be on his side and help him put down this false god.

You spend way to much time on the TV watching what they want you to see and hear.

If you want to know why Christians do what they do then go to the Word of God. Ask Him to open your mind and fill it with the knowledge and wisdom He so wants to give you.

Then maybe your questions may sound something like this.

Most of the Christians I know support the President but they don't agree with all of his doctrines. How do you other Christians feel about Him?><>

You need a reality check, Bill Clinton gave China preferred
status and thats when jobs started going overseas. To China and India.
And Before Clinton they had went to Japan and Korea.
Gas prices are not set by the president, they are set by the oil commodity traders.
Did Bush lie about why we went to war or did the people
gathering intelligence lie to him to make themselves look good.

And are you JUDGING him? since your a good christian, remember the verse "Judge not lest ye be judged"

bakesomebread,
Every day? EVERY DAY? A little of the bearing of false witness seems to be coming out of your direction. Also, I found my father talking like you are. Do you get your news from CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, or APR? If you do, you have been taken for a ride my friend.

God told His people to follow the pharisees because they were in charge, being a Christian you must follow the person that is put in charge because God is in ultimate control, and we ultimatly are serving God. However, Not all Christians are perfect, but it is not our place to condemn them, Jesus didn''t come to do that either. "For Jesus was not sent to this world to condemn it but that it might be saved through Him." John 3:17

Because he is a Christian. Plus, most people who voted for him refuse to listen to criticism because they don't like the idea that they might have been wrong.
