Or perhaps both?

By 'embracing homosexuality', I don't mean necessarily becoming gay, but simply being completely tolerant of it.

For all you morons, I'd like to point out that I asked a hypothetical question, not stating a fact.

If Jesus did indeed exist, and if he was gay...

Wow. I'd honestly love that. So many damn homophobes who are all "The bible says homosexuality is a sin, you fag!11!!!11!three!"

Heh. If their saviour was gay... man. Just... Wow. I laugh at that possiblity, and people's reactions. Big 'I told you so' moment for me.

Another thing:

Read the first or second sentence of Romans 2.

It goes along the lines of "Those who judge others are just as condemned as the ones they judge."

If you judge gays as evil, then you are just as condemend to hell as they/I am. Of which I stand firm that I will never ask a god forgiveness for loving someone.

Most Christians, myself included, rely on two seperate passages to determine God's view of Homosexuality. In the Old Testament the Judgement upon Sodom and Gommorah which was certainly overwhelmingly homosexual with God's angels even sought after by the communities men when they were observed within the city. In the New Testament the Book of Romans, First Chapter. That said and in answer to your question.

If the Old Testament had not spoken of this as a Sin deserving judgement and had not Romans letter addressed and third and most important had Christ spoken on the issue and specifically addressed it saying it was natural then I would have no problem supporting it. As it is though I cannot support that decision based the referenced sections of scripture.

Note though, as it is I also don't judge another person that is Gay because everyone has their own problems staying in the will of God and Christ Blood can forgive any sin that man can think of. It is not my place to judge another human but to pray for all and try my best to be the best example and witness that I can for Christ who forgave me my sins.

Ha ha, you really got people going with that one. That is a really good question. I am not particularly religious, and my view has always been, "let people do what they choose without judgement, and if God (or whoever) has a problem with that, He'll sort it out later."

So I guess if Jesus was a homosexual, the gays and lesbians would be in the clear. Fine with me. To each their own.

If Jesus was talking to me after he had died I would embrace Christianity even if he told me he was Jack the Ripper. As he did not talk to me I do not embrace Christianity, but I embrace homosexuality even tough I'm straight. Gay pride power!

I can't believe so many people can't just honestly answer the question.

I'm not a Christian but I'd hope that just being homosexual wouldn't change their love for Christ. THAT'S what would be sickening in all this.

Jesus preached LOVE, not hatred of gays. Alot of you answerers should remember that firstly.

Well this would be an issue if it were true . How happy I am to know that Jesus is not gay. And how happy I am for being a christian and on my way to Heaven! Why even ask such a question?

Why are peopl gay? Do people practice same sex relationships to be vain ie doing things wrong since there is an attraction of doing something wrong

OR

For whatever reasons this was natural

There is a difference and if I see it so does Jesus,God allah and the holy monkey.

You have AMERICAN preachers saying all kinds of things. It comes down to actions done in vain. People are blind. If there is something I do in life that is bad and don't know better it is not in vain. God help me out here please. Wack the zealots a lil gnosis please!

I'll do like Dick Cheney, who was as conservative religious zealot as the next person denouncing homosexuals as evil doers, until he learned he had a lesbian daughter....then apparently, they weren't so bad.
Funny how when it strucks home, we have more compassion and suddenly there are certain parts of the Bible that you shouldn't take so "literally"...

I don't care if someone's gay or not.. doesn't bother me.. has absolutely nothing to do with me...

but at least he had the courage to come out to the human race!

{EDIT}

God you stupid people answer the questions. Don't just say things like "It couldn't or wouldn't happen". He's asking IF it did.. what would u do?
