It is a friend with many bad problems. The disparity in wealth between the US and Mexico is a situation that is bound to cause people to attempt to transfer some to the south.

Drugs and rampant corruption are two of the problems that will keep Mexico oppressed. If Mexico became known as a place where companies could do business without having to deal with corruption I have no doubt that there would be "a big sucking sound" of business moving south. This would be a short-term negative to the US but long-term good for everyone. Too bad there are no signs of it happening.

No, Mexico is no our friend. They would not treat us the same way if we decided to immigrate to Mexico. We cannot go to Mexico and buy property and set up a business. The Mexican government wouldn't allow it. What kind of a friend is that?

No Mexico is not our friend: If they were our friend they would be doing something to STOP the flow of Illegals into America but they aren't there encouraging it. We need to send Mexico a rather large Bill for All the Unpaid doctor bills, The cost of having there citizens in our Prisons. For the cost of deporting about 20 Million Plus. As another answerer posted With friends like them we have No need for enemies.

There is an old Native tale that talks of a stubborn bird who would not fly south and its trials and tribulations during the winter months. This story deals with friendship, one day I may tell it to you.
To answer your question; Is a kick in the nutsack the same as a handshake? Depends on your point of view. Bush says nothing which isnt pre approved by his handlers. Turn him around and you will find a place for an arm to fit, just like a ventriloquists dummy.

Mexico is not our friend. Mexicans steel our jobs, steel our education money for the poor, they steel well-fare benefits for true Americans. Mexico needs to fall into the ocean w/ California because Mexicans want that too.

Mexico, per say, is not a friend when they encourage and support the the people who cross the borders. If they were are friends, they would send some of their own military to support our border patrol and rustle their own people back to Mexico.

Mexicans are causing a severe wage decrease and cost of living increase when they live more than one family per house, hoard jobs that should be made available to any American who is qualified for that job and earns an education with tax monies meant for low income American families.

Of course Mexico is our friend....The reason so many people come here illegally from Mexico is because of geography, many people seem to miss that...If it were any other third world country, you would feel the same about them as you do Mexico...

And we all say Mexico is corrupt but listen, many around the world think that of our govt. We shouldn't worry so much about Mexico being our friend, as we should of all of our enemies around the world, we are a target of many angry nations, N. Korea, Iran, Venezuela and the many terrorist groups....I think your focus is in the wrong place....

No, if Mexico did their job with their citizens, we wouldn't be in this mess. Bush is up to something with the new president, of course.

Bush has his own agenda. Liberals also have an agenda which is self-serving.....Governor Huntsman (Utah) has an agenda....mexico will be part of his financial future. Attorney General Mark (Mindless) Shurtleff has an agenda....political aspirations to be an ambassador to mexico.

The greedy and ambitious have an agenda....mexico must be their friend in order to achieve their goals....

mexico is not our friend. Americans...have an agenda...an unselfish one....

a loyalty and devotion to our families and our country.

mexico cannot be part of our equation as their agenda is to undermine our nation and destroy the "gringo" family.
