If you're on a road with a lot of traffic, you might try the sign in the window for a couple of weeks. You can try the newspaper- it's cheap but not as many people looking there.
You can also try autotraderonline.com among others or in autotrader magazine. I'm not sure if cars in that price range sell as well online. I've had experience with classic cars and selling online has done very well.

I find that priting off a sign using Microsoft PowerPoint is a very cost effective way to advertise a car.
Go to PowerPoint, create a sign that says FOR SALE, and listing the details of the car along with your phone number.
It's inexpensive, easily noticed, and can be done rather quickly.

Craigslist is a good way to go. Putting "For Sale" signs on cars on parking them on the street is illegal in some places. I would just put it on craigslist and worry about the rest later
