First of all, there wouldn't be any atheists, if there were no God, and there wouldn't be anyone around for you to call silly.
Oh! That's right, you can't call anyone anything, if you're not here.
Secondly, even if your little theory about there being no God were true, which it isn't, a society without a belief system would soon develop a method of governing themselves, and would eventually come up with something to pray to. Even if it is a tree that got struck by lightning, and the trunk saved the town from drowning.
Then it would be your turn to make up imaginary friends to explain why the phenomenon occurred. Of course your society would consist of all scientists right? So then the one with the most reasonable and believable explanation would now become the savior of your little world. See how it works? Your society would land you right back where you are now. Nowhere.

I have no doubt there will be an afterlife and rest assure at the end I hope you be there too. Futhermore I am not an atheist to help you with this question. The only insight I can give you is do not miss the mark. The bible says and we are all God's people-
that MY PEOPLE PERISH FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. So
tap dance for the truth and get some kowledge--its okay.

forgive them for what. i am not christian and i really find it suprising that there can be such ignorance and hatred between those who believe in a god and those who dont'. why can't people respect each others beliefs and let that be it. and if there was an afterlife then the silly atheists would be wrong, because atheists believe there is nothing after death.

- Your logic is termed "begging the question", the place you help your premise with a presumption that the tip is real. The clue is each and all of the "if"s on your premise. not something says the ontological arguments are valid, not something skill that a god could desire to be "eternal, previous time", not something skill that a none-eternal god "would not exist". not something validates that the universe has a reason from "outdoors time or previous it". and notwithstanding if all of those fallacies are set aside, not something confirms that considered one of those being created the universe. There are could greater clever factors than a god for the universe. and that i don't desire data to be responsive to that a flawed argument is invalid. Nor do I also have a burden of information against an invalid argument, the fallacies communicate for themselves.

I really do wish there was a god, it would make life so much easier. I would love an afterlife like that in the Lovely Bones, where anything you truly ever wanted would exist, solely for you. I don't think I could quite forgive the theists, since I would have such a lovely time gloating. It's really too bad that I won't be able to gloat when the theists die and nothing happens.

Oh, I'm so glad to see the immature nay-sayers are still here continually making arrogant jerks of themselves. What would this sight be without you guys? Maybe, we could finally get some real serious religious questions and answers. Can't you at least be mature enough to accept the fact that not everyone is as narrow-closed minded as you are, and we have the right to believe in OUR LORD, if you don't believe fine, but try to be a little mature and stop asking questions as if you were in elementary school.

What utter lies! We are not the silly Christians you pretend we are. We do NOT have goofy stories like you wish. And, what pray tell, are the make-believe imaginary friends you are talking about?

No. Their attitude is far more than goofy stories and make-believe imaginary friends - it is the basis for the worst behavior, the ghastliest atrocities and the most profound evil seen in this world. Too bad xtians don't read their own Bibles - there's a passage in there that says there is no life after death. When I point it out to fundies who insist that every word in the Bible is the irrefuable word of God, they refuse to open their Bibles to that passage and screechingly deny its existance.
*sigh* So many Christians, so few lions!

The very fact that you would consider an afterlife show that deep down inside, you are searching for something that cannot be surpressed by your concrete denials.
There is, seek it out.
