I'm sure there are many of them coming here and going straight to the unemployment office, or something similar. But as an executive of a local manufacturing plant, I can assert that Mexicans work circles around our own citizens. I guess our people have gotten lazy what with Welfare and such. I'm all for them. If they want a better life, more power to them. Our country was founded as a melting pot for those seeking freedom, and I think we should offer it. At the same time, we should be protecting our own.

Deport the illegals! I am Mexican (a legal one) and i think it is wrong for illegal Immigrants to come over here and take American jobs. Sure our country was founded as a melting pot for those seeking freedom but this is a different time period, things are done differently. For every ones safety they must come over here legally.

You claim to be an executive, since when did an "executive" of any manufacturing plant have the time to sit and observe the work habits of different employees and come to any solid conclusions about the work ethic of any particular ethnic group? You sound like one of many "bean counters" I have known throughout my career. Stand up. Your *** is shiny from sitting on it all day. You Ma'am, are a part of the problem. Which manufacturer did you claim to be employed by? I did not catch the name and address of the company you are so proud of which hires criminals.

If you are saying that legal residents who happen to be Mexican work circles around illegal Mexican immigrants I'm curious how you know that. Do the illegal immigrants where armbands or some other sign to distinguish them from our own citizens?

I dont think they work harder than Americans. They raided the company I work at and took 68 out and deported them. Now those jobs are being done by Americans who couldnt get hired before. So no amnesty for Illegals.You want to protect our own then hire them instead.

I don't believe that Mexicans out work Americans. The illegal works harder so they can please their boss thus be able to stay in American ,I think its fear not work ethics.. I want them all deported (the illegal ones) and no amnesty to any one,no anchor baby loopholes,no illegals.
Wow and here I thought all questions in the immigration category were supposed to be about immigration.

Working circles? Either your company coddles the citizens too much (not making them afraid of losing their jobs due to poor performance) or you hire the "rotten apples" in the hiring pool.
Besides - that is a moot point. If someone is here illegally, then they shouldn't be working for your company at all. What you are doing is illegal. And if all goes well in the future, you and companies like yours will be fined so greatly that you will be driven to closing. Companies like yours are a major contributing factor to the illegal immigration problem that this country has.

I really can't stand people who say illegals work harder than Americans. If they're so hard working, why don't they work hard in their own country?
I suppose you also say they are "honest hard working people". If they were "honest" they wouldn't break our laws by sneaking across our border.
As an American, I work hard. And it bugs the heck out of me when I hear bleeding hearts say illegals work harder than Americans.
Have you ever thought they "work hard" because they don't want to be kicked out of the USA? Once they get amnesty and know they can't get kicked out, let's see how "hard working" they continue to be.

it doesn't matter how hard they work these jobs are for Americans its our choice our country i know plenty that do not work hard who drink all the time send their women to the welfare line and who have wives here and ones waiting in mexico so don't give me that crap i even know one who does work under the table no taxes his wife has a job and they get food stamps and free medical i also know a few who do work hard but again our choice

we still are a melting pot, immigrants come legally from all over the world everyday. what i don't like are the criminals that are coming over here draining our system and demanding to be rewarded with citizenship. but in the future please state what plant you work for so we can all have a good laugh calling ins on you
