yes. the disease is called toxoplasmosis. cats, others mammals & birds can carry the protozoa Toxoplasma gondii. symptoms can range from mild to severe. usually you only hear about it when pregnant women are advised not to change cat litter to avoid getting it.

Yes. toxyplasmosis is a very dangerous disease and you get it from cat faeces. Not good for you either!
