Can you think of an example of a convicted felon on death row who accepted salvation just before they were executed? If so, what killer did it? Thanks

Hasn't been executed yet. Actually up for retrial....AGIAN. {sigh} But in Apollo, PA. Joseph Travaglia killed 3 people on a kill for thrill in 1980 (one being a loved and respected police officer). He is now on death row. He now claims salvation of Jesus Christ.

None that I'm aware of... though there was a female who was on death row for years and professed to have been saved and was executed. It wasnt just before though... dont remember her name.

I am not sure about those who have been executed, but David Berkowitz (the 'son of sam' murderer) from NYC has been soundly saved and is an amazing missionary in prison. He is one of the best examples of the powerful love and grace of the Lord redeming a once evil murderer. Thanks be to God for great things He has done.

I cannot say that I personally know of one whom you have described. But I can guarantee you that it is never too late for anyone to ask Jesus to forgive them for their sins. Many have done it while on their death beds. So if this is the reason for you asking this question; whether speaking directly, or asking for someone else; as long as there are still breath in your body, you can still do so. Jesus is always listening.

I remember about ten years ago a woman who had killed her boyfriend and his new girlfriend, she accepted Jesus on death row and went to her death peacefully, it was quite a media stir. I can't remember her name
