normally, it is nero, roxio or sonic that comes pre-installed. However, you can go to www.download.com to get CD burning software. This site has got plenty of CD burning programs.

if you only want to burn CDs yes otherwise you will need to replace the CD-RW with a DVD writer

My computer came with a program called Roxio that allows me to burn CDs, or you could download iTunes for free and use that too.

Nope I Burn them all the time.It's Easy lol.You might need a certain program though mine came with everything

You do not get free software CD with your CD-RW.
If not then call your deller or download it from www.nero.com in $20 to $30.
