If you had your wife/husband in one hand and your son/daughter in the other and you had to let go of one in order to save the other's life which one would you let go of and why? Note, you are at the edge of a cliff and they are hanging on to you for dear life.

I'd let go of my wife and get a tattoo of her face on the arm she was hanging on so I know I can never let go of her again.

What a terrible predicament for any person to be in. But, I believe it is instinct to protect our offspring. I think it would just happen... Even to this day, my kids are 17 & 19, and not too long ago in a parking lot, a car was coming, and grabbed my daughters arm to pull her back. She was completely humiliated that I did that hahaha.. but it was instinct. Maternal instinct?? I think fathers have it too, it wouldn't be about being able to replace your spouse, parental instinct... save your babies...

Terrible choice to make, but I'd dump the wife. She's 46. The kids aren't even adults. Probably, though, I'd try to find a way to save them and dump myself. I have the most life insurance and the least desire to live.

If I seriously had to chose, I guess I would let go of my husband because he would be for the best interest of the children. Why else would I have married him?
But if it was really up to that, I would probably die afterwards.

I would let go of my husband. He has already had a chance at living and has lived. Our children are only starting to experience life and they have allot ahead of them. Plus if it was my husband that had to choose I would tell him to let go of me so our child could live and he feels the same way.

I'd drop my husband in a heartbeat (for putting us there in the first place), collect the million dollar life in$urance.. then me & the kids would Party!

wife or husband. your children are an extension of you. husband or wife can be replaced. chances are something will happen in the relationship anyway, (they cheat or leave) your kids are there forever. so i say choose the kids
