Actually, the "image" of God, is not His physical likeness. God doesn't look like George Burns or Morgan Freeman. Rather, "image" refers to the fact that like God, we have a body, a mind, and a spirit. God the Father, is the Intelligent Maker, Jesus Christ the Son, is God in the Flesh (body), and God the Holy Spirit is, well, SPIRIT.

it is a joke to believe that man was created in god's image. if he really existed before time and space than god cannot have a corporeal body so there would be no way that we could be created in his image.
