I plan to walk/run. I have the endurance but not the leg strength to run more that 2 km. If I walk for a while I can run another couple and so on. Any advice on my best tactic to get through the 12kms. It's in 2 weeks so I'm hoping to improve some more in that time. when running my heart rate hits 90 +.
I can run 6 to 10km on a treadmill without stopping no problem or do a high cardio workout for 1 to 1.5 hours!!! I am currently about 5kg's overweight (used to be 15)

just some advice from a cross country runner who had to sit out this season from a knee injury, do some leg strengthening things! lol I learned the hard way, I was a speedy little person but I had very little power in my legs, I was more endurance. Try some squats and lunges to make sure your legs are strong, trust me a little goes a long way. One thing we always did was walking lunges about 30 times on each leg and then calf raises on the stairs about 30 times on each leg, that should be more than enough if you arent really competing.

Really, so am i!!! My secret is just motivation on yourself and just so do some stretches such as pointing your toe up and right foot over left and bend down before and after runs. Start at a rather tiny bit fast pace because that will get your body use to it so quickly it will wear out then come a live again because you ran it that way. Just follow and try these steps if you want too or you could just run at your own pace and be careful not to pass out. I'm on the cross country team!

Maintain a constent run. I too have problems in running and my heart beat usually reach to a max of 171!! What I can say is drink lots of water 1 day before the run, relax yr mind while running and take in deep breath too.
Best of luck for yr 12km fun run, I'm sure u can make it.

Yeah. i'm an atheist. calm down, I stated atheist, nor satanist. we've our causes. we've options, depart us the **** on my own because we can trust what we opt to trust, we tolerate your no longer plausible theories and **** so that you'll tolerate our authentic, shown theories. so that you're all about being variety and ****, you're literally disgusting the way you communicate about us as if we are from a diverse planet. i'm no longer adversarial to you. i'm no longer adversarial to "God". i position self assurance in a diverse, and nonetheless a staggering beginning and that i'm allowed to. I hate the way you assert 'approaches' and 'do you imagine they're going to paintings', i presumed your interest is to worship God, no longer spend your total ******* lives annoying the **** out individuals, attempting to regulate our beliefs? If I wrote each and every way how i'm right this moment, you would pass mad. nicely it really is what you're doing now.

Just take your time, run at your own pace, don't try to race other runners. Concentrate on your breathing a pace and hit the hydration stations. Its great just to get out and run and complete a race such as the one you are going to do.
