First of all, you need to realize that you are a valuable member of the human race. You are not more, nor less, than anyone else. We're all unique & have different levels of intelligence, and skills. What you lack or have in abundance is not in question. What you do with the talent's you have is the question.
Tell yourself that you are placed on this planet for a reason. Tell yourself that you have great worth. Practice in the mirror if you need to. And then go out and help those less fortunate than yourself. That alone will give you confidence & then join a support group for those that are as far along the path of life as you.
This will give you a structure to work from. A foundation that will help not only your own self-esteem, but those you are trying to help along their paths.
In the end, self esteem comes from within, not from without. You write your own script and your brain will conform to that which you write upon it. If someone has written negative re-enforcement, you need to replace it with positive & this you CAN do.
It's a struggle, but don't give up & you'll find that your self esteem rises with every victory, no matter how 'small'.

www.emofree.com download the free manual and if it makes sense, get the DVD videos, and work with the causes of your poor self esteem. It is the closest thing to magic I have ever seen..

Sit down with paper and a pen and write down...
"TEN THINGS I LOVE ABOUT MY BODY:"
This could be anything- perhaps you like your hairstyle, hair colour, fingernails, little toe(!), teeth, complexion, height, the way your hands look, your eye colour, your body-shape-- it could be anything.
"TEN THINGS I LOVE ABOUT MYSELF:"
Ten things you love about who you are- perhaps you're good at making people laugh? You might give good hugs. Maybe you're caring or you want to some day raise a family. Maybe you have dreams that you love? Write in this section the things you like about your personality, how you treat other people, yourself and the thoughts that you have that you like and enjoy. You could even put something in here like "I love the fact that I am a good listener/sleeper/friend/bike rider/hair-styler, etc."
"TEN THINGS I LOVE ABOUT MY LIFE:"
Ten things in your life that you really love- it could be that you love the school you attend, that you love a friend, family member or pet. It could be that you love a piece of clothing that you own or something in your bedroom. It could be that you love being able to sing to yourself or that you love living in a country that allows you freedom.
Don't expect to fill up 10 things in each right away, it is a difficult task- however, if you find yourself filling up the lists, try to slowly increase them- maybe every week you could make it your goal to add 2 things to your list- this may help you to try and find activities or things to do with your week to help achieve this goal.
Hope you find some inner-happiness soon, sweetie.

You must not have it too bad. Because you made a effort to ask for help for yourself. When I was down, I counted on a family relative whom I trusted and slowly and surely I changed not for them, but for myself. Because I knew in my heart I was losing myself. Start off slow, nothing drastic b/c then you have doubt and your trying to get out of that. Try a new shade of color. (Shirts, lip gloss or eye-color).

depends on what don't like about yourself. Go out and accomplish something. Failure is probably what brings people down...Exercise is a great way to feel accomplished because you feel like you did something and you got somewhere. You can never get no where when you exercise.

When you wake up in the morning go to your bathroom mirror, look at yourself and say everyday. "Damn I am a fine person". Do it everyday. After a while you will believe it.
