I've Never understood WHY it is that most younger girls/women get the "hots" for older guys!
If you like him, then stay put. If not, then date a 15 year old guy. You WON'T run out of volunteers!

What a stupid question. For god's sake. Do you love him? Yes - then stay with him. No - then break up with him. Age is nothing but a number. It's chemistry that either keeps you together or breaks you up - not age. Unless age is a huge deal to you. I don't know where you live but i think in USA age could come into it a bit as you can't drink until you're 21 which means that your partner can go out clubbing without you and if you don't trust him enough it could cause all types of jealousy problems. But to break up with someone just because of their age - maybe you don't deserve him coz that's pretty shallow i reckon.

No.... that is pretty cool. I am 26 and my ex is 19 (hoping to get back soon) and age was never a factor, well DIRECT factor... I think of it now and the issues that caused lil arguments I guess was due to our age difference... not sure but we understand each other now.
Just give it time and see.... if my ex did that we would still be a perfect match right now though it is just 1 week & 2/3 days since she broke off with me due to cant handle anymore 'arguments'.

age isnt nothing but a nuber, now the way the guy thinks and acts can tell a whole different side to him....
so i would say if you guys are more near the same level as, how you guys think and act, then stay with him, if not then no.... look for someone diff.
but that is with every relationship....
"AGE AINT NOTHIN BUT A NUMBER" as told by Aaliyah and Pretty Ricky, lol
:o) GOOD LUCK :o)

age shouldn't really be a factor. but sometimes people might use an age gap as a cover-up for other things that might be bothering them about the relationship. i don't know anything about you or your situation. but maybe that's something to think about?
but if it's just age....my vote is to give him a chance. a good guy can be any age and there's not many left out there. enjoy him.

My husband is 8 years older than me and it has never been an issue. If you are on here asking questions about whether or not you should break up with him I suspect theres more than an age difference going on.

No, but an age gap like that can bring up other issues that can lead to breakups. Differences in acitvities, how soon you want to have children, and different cultural references - which can make conversation difficult.
People can be compatible that far apart, but plenty of people aren't too.

It all depends. Are you in love with him? I can't begin to tell you how strongly I feel about this. I am going through a situation in my life right now that is indirectly like yours. I'm not going to go into it but I will suggest this to you. If you two are in love with each other stay together. The difference in your ages may result in a happiness for both of you that simply cannot be found with someone your own age. I would really really really like to converse with c. arsenault, one of those who responded to your question. I would love to know how it is for him. And as for you young lady, if you would like to her more of what I have to say please feel free to e-mail me. Same for you c.arsenault

There is nothing rong with dateing someone older but if your not ready to settle down then you should go cuz men that age want to get married and have kids. unless you know diffrent. The most inportin thing is to follow your heart.

why would you? Thats a pretty shallow reason. You knew he was that much older than you when you met him. If you want to dump him do so.... but not for that lame excuse. I am 30 and my girlfriend is 21 no problems here.
