I've shared many hats without getting lice. If you know the person well enough to share hats with them, you know them well enough to ask if they have headlice.

in my opinion sharing a hat with someone else is very unhealthy
its like borrowing someone's underwear (clean of course) especially girls----like spend the night with her girlfriend (sleep over) did not planned it---so Can I burrow a pair of underwear?
yuk---it is so unhealthy, same as a hat---there are things up there--eg dandruff, psoriosis, etc.etc.
its not good.
