When we talk about angels, we shouldn’t ignore the wicked angels, who the Bible says rebelled against God, the foremost of these is Satan.

The Bible makes it clear that Satan is an enemy of God. (Luke 10:18, 19; Romans 16:20) He defies God’s sovereignty, and his intentions toward humans are hardly “loving.” He hates God’s servants on earth (Revelation 12:10, 12, 15-17). The way he persecuted Job exposed his merciless attitude toward human suffering (Job 1:13-19; 2:7, 8.) He also tries to mislead as many people as possible into believing the wrong things, (Revelation 20:1-3)

Many encounters that people claim to have had with angels involve communication with the dead, where perhaps they have passed on messages from dead loved ones.
But the Bible states that the dead “are conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5) It also says that when a person dies, “in that day his thoughts do perish.” (Psalm 146:4) Satan, however, is “the father of the lie.” (John 8:44) He is the one who originated the falsehood that the human soul survives death. (Compare Ezekiel 18:4.) Many people today believe this, which suits Satan’s purpose, for it negates the need for faith in the resurrection—a fundamental doctrine of Christianity. (John 5:28, 29) So, inquiring of the dead or seemingly receiving messages from them via angels is not in harmony with what the bible teaches.

The use of divination as a means to “communicate” with angels isn’t uncommon. One source outrightly encourages its readers to employ rune stones, tarot cards, I Ching coins, palmistry, and astrology. “Allow your inner knowing self to lead you to the right oracle,” the authors write, “and trust that an angel will meet you there.”
According to the Bible, however, whatever ‘meets you there’ certainly isn’t one of God’s angels. Why? Because divination stands in open defiance of God, and true worshipers—in heaven and on earth—have nothing to do with it. See Deuteronomy 13:1-5; 18:10-12.

So any encounters with angels which involve any sort of occult practices are clearly not encounters with ‘good angels’ but they are encounters with ‘wicked angels’

Hope this helps.

The angels that are mentioned here in Zechariah 1:10 were messengers from God. Yes they are real and yes they are good. Before Satan was cursed in the Garden of Eden, he was know as Lucifer which mean Angel of Light, so before he was cast out of heaven he was one of God's top angels. The reason that Lucifer was cast out of heaven was because he tried to place himself in the position of God, and so when he was cast out, he decided to take 1/3 of the angels in heaven with him.

Satan was allowed to test Job to see wether or not Job would give up on his faith in God. If you remember in Job, at the very end of his testing, God restored everything that was lost 7 fold.

When I had my bike accident years ago, I was knocked unconscious for 15 minutes, and I know that there were angels that were protecting me, keeping me from being hurt worse than what I was.

his is talking about the time near the end of Jerusalem's 70 years in captivity.

There are angels talked about in various places in the Bible.

Angels are messengers of God. I believe they are not necessarily "paranormal" apparitions. I believe we may see them in our everyday life an not recognize them.

I base that comment on the following scripture
Hebrews 13: 1. Let brotherly love continue.
2. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Sweet dreams.

Yes angels do exist. They are God's Messengers and helpers of mankind. They were created to serve God, mankind, and fight the opposition(Satan, demons, evil, unclean, familiar spirits). We, as humans, are not to focus on angels, because they cannot save us, Only Jesus Christ has that power. Usually when people in the Bible asked angels there name, they said it is not important, because they always pointed to Jesus, just as John The Baptist did. John just announced the arrival of the Messiah and then directed people to Jesus.

Angels will not make their presence known, DEMONS WILL. Have you ever seen an angel open a door on its own? The evil powers want you to know that they are there so they can play mind games with you. Usually angels will only appear when their is a crisis and its just for a split second. They do something that will dramatically change the ending result for the better.

Before Christ died on the cross and rose again(took the keys of death from Satan), Satan had total and complete access to Heaven and Earth, that is why he could come before the heavenly court as mentioned in Job. But after Christ took the keys, Satan was no longer allowed access into Heaven. Which now he is stuck on earth and can only go into and roam the earth. When I saw into, I mean Hell. Because Hell is in the center of the earth. The Bible does mention the kingdom beneath our feet or in the underground. The world is Satan's kingdom, he does whatever he wants with it, but only because God gives him that authority.

Pretty cool angels and demons story...if you have gotten this far... Before our friend's mother died a few years back, she told our friend about stuff that she used to see in her house. Well our friends lived in her basement and one night she said that she saw a black figure standing at the doorway, but it was not allowed to enter the basement, because there was a WHITE figure in front of it. She said she could not make out the images, but they were just like white and black blobs, No form whatsoever. thats why we are God's perfect creation, we are created in His image, not the angels. Now our friend's our true believers(true Christians) and I believe that the angel was protecting them from that demonic power that wanted to go into the basement. That angel only had authority over that demonic spirit because God gave it to him.

The battle rages on......

I believe angels really do walk around on this earth and sometimes physically manifest themselves to people. I have heard compelling stories of this happenning. Angels are definately good, demons are what is bad.

As far as paranormal people, people like psychics, fortune tellers and astrologers may actually see into the spiritual realm but they do it by the power of Satan. Best to stay away from them.
