I mean, 8 mpg? Is this an example of complete corporate irresponsibility, or what? Do you think they're trying to compete with Hummer or something? Click on this link to see one of the articles about this gas-guzzler:

My 2005 gets 16.5, and that's a 345 CID. They are not competing, they are leading. Everyone else is competing with them. Only the fastest production truck ever made gets that bad of miles per gallon. The V10 SRT Viper Dodge Ram. It very fast, and very costly.

That is a blogspot, a personal opion rag.
OPINION , OPINION, OPINION.
Opinions are like armpits, some are okay some stink.

About 1% of what is on that page is real, the guy makes it seem that Dodge/Chrysler have no new vehicles out there besides a behemoth gas gulping truck. There are people who pull huge trailers and need a truck like that. Not me, not most people. that truck will account for less than 1-2% of vehicle sales in America.

Shoot, there is the Dodge Caliber, three new Jeeps, the Chrysler 300, (which the blog totally ignored) A friend of mine has a Jeep Liberty diesel that gets almost 30mpg highway and is rated to pull a trailer up to 5,000 pounds. don't try that with your toyota or vw jetta.
There are several Dodge/Chryslers that get 25- 30 mpg.

I don't believe this person really knows what they are talking about, and where is this info coming from?Is this a 1 ton truck pulling a10'000 pound loaded trailer? How is it driven,at the race track?Up hill both way's?I see most half tons with Hemi's in the 14-18 mpg range highway. Most trucks don't do well on fuel because it is a truck!People keep buying them and they keep building them, and that goes for all the manufactures.Ride a MOPED!

Dodge ? Thinking ?

Do I really have to click on a link to answer this question ?

I've been in the automotive business for 23 years & I personally don't think that there is anybody at Dodge that actually thinks.

Dodge wants to conquer a new truck and suv position. It wants defeat Ford on your position, building a strong and really effort pick-up. It will be very difficult, because one Ford is a Ford.
