I am currently working on my BS in Nursing once I graduated I plan on going into the AirForce as an officer. Has anyone out there taken this route. I have always wanted to be in the military but the Af had restrictions on accepting single parents. Now as an officer things will be different. I enjoy the lifestyle and plus I beleive the benefits will be good for my family. I am currently enagaged to a man who is in the AF reserves ...we both think this will be a good idea. Anyone have any personal experience they can share?

I was a Nurse Recruiter for the Army Nurse Corps during the mid to late 80's. I thought that the various programs of all the services were fairly competitive with civilian nursing. The major difference is the autonomy that military nursing offers. As an officer, there is more of a professional and cohesive relationship, in that physicians don't look down their noses at the nursing staff.

I applaud your willingness to serve your country, as you serve the troops!

to blend all of those concepts. you're able to desire to have a extreme college degree to connect. you're able to be 18. That area you're astounding to go on. yet, using actuality that think ofyou've have been given to wind up this twelve months and could not graduate except the suited of next could, realistically you could not connect except you will have that degree. So some time-physique for starting to be a member of is very next June. then you certainly could desire to be interior the deptprogram, meaning that which you at the instant are on a waiting record for a slot to visit elementary training. This takes 4-8 months. What i might do is communicate to a recruiter while ever you have time. He could have some information for you this is clever. yet for sure it is what you're observing at.
