Any physical activity that keeps your heart rate up between 65-75% (depending on who you ask) of your maximum heart rate for at least 20 minutes is considered to be of benefit to the cardiovascular system.
The easiest way to calculate your target heart rate is to take:
220-your age=your maximum heart rate.
Max HR x .75 for your upper limit and Max HR x .65 for your lower end.
Some examples include very brisk walking, jogging, aerobics classes, cycling briskly, rollerblading, swimming. The key is to keep your heart rate maintiained for the duration.

ummmmm while i try to live a Christian life i am going to go out on a limb here and say any exerition that gets you up off your **** and moving enough to raise your heart rate above your norm will be considered cardoi as long as it holds it at a higher rate for a period of time like 10 or 20 minutes
