I wouldn't want either extreme but I would favor one which is more towards the strict side rather than wishy-washy.

Both work hand in hand; for without the strictness of the bible we all would continue to wallow in our sins, not understanding why God's grace has been bestowed upon us.
God's religion is a strict religion with rules that we as God's children must obey, and that religion is Holiness without which no man shall see God (hebrews 12:14). It is the strictness that teaches us his grace. How it is God's grace that allows you to open your eyes every morning when you wake up; and still some do not thank him or give him the praise. It is God's grace that allows you to breathe, walk, talk, and give you time and the chance to repent and understand why you must obey his strict commandments and way of living. I pray that you read you bible, and seek the understanding as to why God has been so gracious and so merciful unto us. I pray that you seek his holy way.
I pray for you. Amen

Interesting question, I need a religion of grace as do most people it seems. Rules at times fail to really change peoples behavior. People with strict religious views are still guilty of bad conduct. Grace, when rightly understood brings a sense of humility and gratefulness that really changes people for the better. Unfortunately, people can be guilty of misusing grace and not showing enough appreciation to God. But grace is still better to motivate us and help us to love God and people.

I believe that religion is like coffee, there are many different brands and many different flavors – but the result of participating in almost any religion is the same, spiritual stimulation and a subconscious sense of doing what is right.
Getting involved in a community church will bring you close to people who are trying to stay on the right path. The religion you choose should be based off of you personal moral beliefs and yours alone. Don’t let anyone talk you in to a church. Simply go with your heart and it will be the right decision.
Forgiveness is in the teaching of almost every church in the world.

Strict religious rules or Forgiveness for our sins?
Ahahahaha.
That sounds like neither heaven nor hell.
Possibly it's a hellish heaven, if such a thing were able to actually exist.
OK, i choose, gracious.

I would rather have one with GRACE, and I need a lot of it, because I can never be good enough or do enough good works to earn favor with an Almighty God.

God has ten rules. and then he gives us grace. Any religion that can't handle that, should give up trying right now.
