How can anyone believe that the Quran is miraculous? Muslims claim that Muhammed could only know about the development of a baby though the all-knowing Allah. Now that we know that Muhammed was wrong, will they continue to believe?
The Quran's highly controversial statement that human beings are formed from a clot of blood: "Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then We made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh" (23:14).

This is hardly a scientific description of embryonic development. It ignores to mention the female egg (the second and equally important half) and the process of fertilization when egg and sperm unite to form one new cell.

It mentions the obvious [the sperm], the visible, that which all mankind knew for a long time that it is necessary to "make" a baby. The Qur'an does NOT mention the invisible, that which we know only through modern medicine.

Muhammed didn't say anything new about embryology. Aristotle, Galen, and Hippocrates said the exact same things 1000 years before the Quran. As it turns out, they were all wrong.

why u didnt mention the whole verses talking about that process in that sura (23:12. Verily We created man from a product of wet earth;
13. Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging;
14. Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump
bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of
Creators!
15. Then lo! after that ye surely die.
16. Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raced (again).) second we you need to mention all verses talking about that topic as they complement to each other

Poki Poki has a good point, however, only the prediction about space can I truly see as a neat prediction (yet far too vague to be proven a prediction.), the others seem to be guesses and some of which don't even fit the context. He gave them copper? what does that have to do with electricity that is so miraculously accurate?

This guy here in my question has a good point, and even uses their own book against them!

why did u assume that the clot of the congealed blood that the Qur'an is talking about is the sperm...it could very much also be the zygote.

...

22:5 O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to th e feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much), and (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs).

I believe your regarding to this. firstly i would like to ask you to sight your source next time (exact chapter and verse). secondly you've got some big talk for someone who has never studied embroyology. Prof. Keith Moore is one of the leading embroyologists of our time and he says that the Quran can be from no man and could have only be from Allah (God).

because you don't read the Arabic text, the points that you raise are just argumentative ramblings. The actual term that is used is "nutsfah", it is the two separate elements being as one.A word to the ignorant,PEACE!

Actually, when God curses a person, He does not allow that person to see miracles. He makes that person refute miracles. So... you're in the Cursed by God Club.

If you don't like it there, pray to God to open your heart and mind.

Good luck.
