Retina scans are more reliable than fingerprinting. Like all electronics, retina scanners will become cheap which will allow companies to purchase them.

If the SS# is issued and confirmed in conjunction with a retina scan, there could not be identity theft. If a company fails to perform a retina scan, they become liable for the stolen SS#.

Does this sound like a viable solution to identity theft?

It would solve many problems. But in fairness there is a Big Brother issue involved.
I would like to see it in some places--Benefits and maybe Businesses. Driver License. Not sure how far I would want that carried to other things. I do think more and more are doing something like that-wave of the future.

Good question-worth thought. On both sides.

Be patient. Your national ID including micro chip is on the way. I'm reasonably sure our DNA markers will be included as well.

Are you concerned that your beloved illegals will be caught? When (if) you get your SS# stolen, I think you will rapidly change your tune.

You sound the like the anti-christ. Why don't we just tatoo UPC symbols behind all our ears......wouldn't that be cheaper?

EDIT............OUR TURN

Actually I am MORE CONCERNED about being branded/implanted/tortured to be able to bank/buy groceries/send my kids to school.

We all have our demons though............you called me out on mine.........do YOU have any?
