okay everytime i date a black dude they always comment on how caramel i am. i'm black. it gets irritating. they say stuff like we would have beautiful children. are they dating me for me or for my skin color? it's like ther first thing they ask me is are you half black half white. does it matter? I noticed a lot of brothers nowadays are more concerned with the phenotype and ethnicity of the lady they are dating and how there is kids will turn out than if they really like them or not.

Dont worry about them if they say yall mite have cute children together. That just means that they r thinking about ur future together.ITS A GOOD THING!!!!!!!!!!

Having children starts out with dating as a rule. No, I don't think the guys are interested in a prospective family as much as they are attracted to you for yourself. Your skin color is less common than that of most black girls, and that probably intrigues them.
Asking lots of questions, even ones you feel are irrelevant to the situation, is one way of conversing and being sociable. So stop worrying about it, and just enjoy the attention and the comeraderie. You can just remind the more persistent ones that all children are beautiful, regardless of their skin color, and then quickly change the subject. Have fun!!

Just based on what you typed it seems to me that they are just making general conversation and have bad lines, is it possible that you are the one hung up on the issue? Men tend to be a little more superficial than women so that is part of it but maybe it's just guys find it hard to find something to talk about and they think that is their way of complimenting you. I'd have to know the context really.

well I'm black and we say stuff like that because were not always confident and don't know what to say but if he`s always talking about kids something is wrong and we think that skin color is beautiful if it all about kids something is wrong

I don't think it's fair to categorize all black men just because you have been unfortunate enough to find the wrong one. Maybe as time goes on you'll be lucky enough to find one who cares more about you personally than just your phenotype.
