I heard in the song "one song glory" from "RENT", he says something about a "pretty boy front man" and after thinking about it, I realized i didnt actually know what the literal definition for a pretty boy was. Anyone know?

my def of pretty boy is your typical blue eyed blondie who is cute but has somewhat feminin/soft features. They usually think they are hot too which is not very attractive coming from a guy who could almost pass off as a woman.

I don't think pretty boy refers to one being gay. I think it means a foppish or kind of a self indulgent pompess, narcissist guy.
Pretty boy lead singers could be some of these: Mick Jagger, David Johannsen, maybe Roger Daltry, even David Lee Roth and many others.
Remember there was a gangster called Pretty Boy Floyd. It also refers to handsome kind of guys, pretty maybe a little effeminate as well.

Lol, My sister's best friend married three of them in a twenty five year period. She finally snapped and realized she didn't need them to be happy. A pretty boy is a good looking male who has no JOB,no APT,and no CAR. He would rather be a leech off his significant other laying around the house to perform sexually on demand.

I'm not sure what the "literal definition" for pretty boy is, but my understanding of a pretty boy is a guy who cares quite a bit about his looks (i.e. hair, skin, clothes) and cares quite a bit less about things that supposedly men are interested in.
