No, I'm not an atheist.

The prayer would go something like this:
"I believe that you don't exist. But just in case you do, please watch over and protect me."

If a person were truly an atheist, he wouldn't believe in God. Therefore, he wouldn't be praying to him. I don't believe that
atheists even exist. I think that they're all agnostics. That's because I believe there is a God, and I believe that people who call themselves atheists are actually just in denial, because they
know that they will have to face God on judgement day. But I do believe there are agnostics, ( people who question the existence of God). That is because they simply don't understand who God really is, and what he has done for mankind. As far as anyone who is not saved is concerned, I don't know that praying to God for protection would do any good. But I don't think so. However, if a person is willing to repent, and trust Christ as his or her personal savior, then they can be forgiven, and receive God's protection, although no one is really guaranteed to live until tomorrow.

It's not even useful for Christians...but seriously why would atheists pray to god?! We don't believe in him. It's like talking to an imaginary friend. I guess that we atheists would rather sit and think about our life than ask for help to a being that we think doesn't exist.

God hears that prayer. Many who do not believe today may, by the grace of God, come to know Him.

Why would an atheist pray to a non-existent sky-pixie?
It's an utter waste of time wether you believe or not since god cannot and does not exist.
How difficult is that for some people to understand?

No because you need faith and you don't pray just so in case something happens

It's useful for anyone to pray...but know that no matter what each of us "believes" here in our human experience, we are all loved unconditionally & are all endowed with our guides & angels to help us along.

God needs noone to "believe" in Him/Her...it is actually He who believes in us.

About as useful as chewing gum on my shoe.

An agnostic, might pray that.
