Before you go to bed, have a warm shower. Put on a very comfortable nightgown. Ask your mamma to make you some hot chamomile tea. Ask her go tuck you in bed, but, before kneel both of you by your bed, and pray. Ask God to protect you and your family and to give you a good night of sound sleep. He loves you. Kiss your mamma good night. Close your eyes. Imagine the angels of God taking care of you and ... Wow! It is morning already! God bless you.

Are you worried about something? Sometimes that will certainly keep you awake. If you are, try and get the problem solved. If not, and you simply cant sleep, there are a few things you can try that I know helps me. Change your sheets, and take a nice warm bath, and read a book or magazine, to make your eyes tired. Even a glass of milk can help. If you still can not sleep, tell you parents, or maybe you need to see a doctor to get some advice. Do not drink any sodas, or anything with caffeine before bedtime, not even any kind of chocolate. Good luck!

Get yourself on a sleep schedule and stick to it no matter what...even weekends and days off of school. Get your body time clock set. For example: If you get up at 6:30am everyday and go to bed at 10pm every night, your body will eventually adjust to it. So, if you do not go to bed at 10pm you will end up falling asleep wherever you are from exhaustion.
If you are already doing that and it isnt working, try yoga or relaxation before bedtime.
Layoff the caffeine, like Pop and coffee. And layoff the sugar after dinner.
If your brain just keeps going because of a hectic schedule, keep a notepad by the bed so you can jot down stuff as it pops into your head. Eventually, there wont be anything left to write down and you will fall asleep faster and faster as time goes by.
Best of luck!

This is something that you must see a doctor about this. When I was that age i never slept and all my parents would say was "don't drink caffeine at night?" There is something wrong with a child not being able to sleep at night. You could have a nervous reaction about something, which can turn into anxiety later in life. Go see a doctor and be completely honest with him/her. It will be confidential. They can give help you.

At your age it's usually thoughts running through your head. Try clearing your mind by pictureing a close up of white sheet of paper. It may also help to have some white noise (like a fountain or an electric fan) running in the background to kill any random noises.

Drink plenty of water.

Do some gentle stretches before you go to bed.

While stretching, take deep relaxing breaths.

Shake all your tension out of you.

Other suggestions:
Don't watch TV.
Relax and read before you go to bed.

You should go to sleep fine if you try any of these wonderful suggestions.

talk to your parents or a close loved one about this. we all need our rest....when my girls couldn't fall asleep when they were your age, we'd sit at the kitchen table and drink hot milk and talk for a few minutes, and it worked like a charm. that warmed milk did it's magic. try it. and best of luck, sweety.
