I would like to know which one is better in terms of nutritional values: fresh milk (sold in plastic bottles) or sweetened condensed milk (sold in tins) ?
I usually drink some milk after dinners (not with tea or anything else)

I am slim and not worried about getting fat .

Thank you very much.

sweetened condensed milk is EXTREMELY sweet. It is used in cooking, making pies, sweets etc. It is not a "drink". It is very thick and sugary. It does taste good, but is not a drink.

You may be thinking of regular condensed milk that is kinda like milk but highly concentrated and canned. This is also used for cooking. I love milk and would probably throw up if I had to drink this.

You are much better off drinking fresh milk. Fresh milk is for human drinking consumption. The others.....I'd never be able to drink them and most other people wouldn't either.

Regular milk whether it be 3%, 2%, 1%, skimmed or powdered, the biggest difference is sweetened condensed milk is full fat milk with sugar added and then steam processed to reuce the water content and intesifiy the sugar percentage.

Thus it is used for baking, cooking and in some Asia cultures, like Vietnam they add it to coffee to tone out the strong earthy taste from the chicory added, so the fat is there and then to sugar content also. To drink it would be difficult, I mixed powdered milk with 2% evaporated to make it palatable.

Sweetened condensed milk is really more for cooking. I cannot even imagine how that would taste... but I looked at the labels of both and sweetened condensed milk has WAY more fat ounce for ounce... I know you're not worried about getting fat but it still isn't healthy to have all that fat... I mean, we're talking 24 grams of fat for sweetened condensed milk compared to 5 grams of fat in 2% fat milk for 8 oz. (Not to mention saturated fat)

Not to confuse you any further, but the recipe I use incorporates heavy cream! Tom's Sweet Potato Pie Ingredients 4 medium-sized sweet potatoes, baked until soft, then peeled 3 whole eggs, beaten 1/3 cup granulated sugar 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon allspice 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated preferred pinch coarse salt 1 teaspoon grated orange zest, minced 1 1/2 cups fresh cream 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled 1 9-inch pie shell, refrigerator cold Method Heat oven to 400° Put the cooked sweet potatoes in a large mixing bowl and mash with wooden spoon. Set aside. Combine the eggs, sugar, spices, salt, orange zest, and cream in a small bowl and whisk until thoroughly combined. Pour into mashed sweet potatoes. Combine until thoroughly incorporated. Add the butter, and mix well. Pour mixture into prepared pie crust. Bake at 400°, 45 to 55 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.

Fresh milk is better.

When they make condensed milk, alot of sugar is added to it. Anyway, condensed milk isn't exactly a drink.
