It is considered a "dealer demo" which means it has not been titled & is therefore considered a NEW vehicle.
The fact that it has 2800 miles on it only means that the dealer should be able to discount it more than one that has not been driven as a demo.
You better decide quickly. Ford Motor Credit is only offering the 0% X 72 month financing on remaining 2006 models through Labor Day.
Most Ford & Mercury dealers are just about out of cars as of now, & even the demo's are mostly gone.

it's not really a used car until it's been titled or has over 10000 miles on whichever comes first. The nice thing about demos is you get some kind of discount. the mercury milan is a hot car it's sister to the ford fusion. awesome ride and actually very hard to get right now. but i'm actually too late the 0% for 72 went away monday

usually over 500 miles is considered used.
It depends upon the delaer but yeah most take a discount for the miles to sell it as most dealer personell will drive a loaded vehicle then sell it for say a lower optioned car is worth due to the miles.. but qualifies for new Ford financing as it's never been titled...
and that's 0% for 72 months for ownership... haven't seen any leases over about 4 years as depretiation would eat up the resell value after that

Yes the price should be lower than the same car brand new because it has been driven for a few thousand miles. Depending on how hard it was driven it may/may not be as good as brand new.

Miles isn't the undertaking. If the motor vehicle has been until now registered to an proprietor that's seen used. it ought to have 5 miles on it and nonetheless be a used motor vehicle, it ought to have 5,000 and nonetheless be seen a sparkling motor vehicle because of the fact the motor vehicle became in no way registered to an proprietor, the broker can use it and placed as many miles as they like to on a motor vehicle. of direction they are in a position to't sell it for the recent motor vehicle cost yet technically it continues to be a sparkling motor vehicle. as a effect that's categorized as a application motor vehicle. in no way registered yet until now pushed by somebody. application autos are many times autos the broker will lend to a great journey like a golf journey or given to dealership executives and allowed to force them abode or used as courtesy autos for the provider branch.

the vehicle is considered a new car if has not been titled
the mfg warranty starts at 0 miles, the time starts when the vehicle was put into service as a demo whic could be as much as a year
typically you can buy a brand new car for what some pay for demos
hope this helps

It is considered a new car if it has not been titled. Once it has been titled, it is considered used.
This was probably a dealership demonstrator vehicle, and therefore untitled (seeing that it qualifies for all current incentives)so I would negotiate for a $2000-$3000 discount, minimum.
