The Georgia Straight is a free paper for downtown Vancouver. Named after the Strait of Georgia. The Strait is between Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

The Georgia Straight is at 1701 West Broadway.

Vancouverites frequently misuse Strait (narrow passage) and Straight (free of curves and bends; also candid and frank) because of the pun within the long running newspaper name.
