The Ford Five Hundred was rated as the safest vehicle on the road ! They sell like Hotcakes !
And the Fusion is selling like crazy & taking sales away from Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry & Honda Accord !

Sorry if you don't like them, but I can't keep them on my lot.
This past week we sold off all the remaining 06 Fusions & 06 Five Hundreds except for maybe a couple of demo's ( which probably will sell tomorow)
People are already buying up the 07's as well.

Taurus, by the way is still sold, just not retail, only 'fleet'

That means that you can't buy 'one' but your company can buy 10 under a 'fleet program'

The Taurus was great until 1996 when it went oval and looked like a cockroach. The Five-Hundred and the Fusions aren't crap. The Five-Hundred's like the safest car ever and the Fusion next year will be the only midsize sedan with availible AWD.

the 2007 taurus is really a 2005 they just change the vin number and i used to work at a ford plant and this is what they really do.

the 500 and fusions are really nicer the the taurus anyway.

it's not done away with yet.. it was actually supposed to be killed in 2005 but have extended it till the end of the 2007 model year.

Main thing that killed it is dated look and the fact that most who were buying the cars were rental car agencies or fleets and most were buying them as program (hince most newer ones you see have daytime running lamps on the taurus for.. it's a option on fleet only sales)

sorry you don't like the new cars but the quality has gone up on these two as they are based on volvo designs than Ford only...
