i'm 23 and ive been with this woman who's 25 for 2 years. weve had our problems with intimacy. she's just preoccupied with herself and doesn't seem to be open to intimacy anymore. she recently told me she needed a break. although i'm not fine with it i have to let it be. of course i'm bitter because of all the time i've put into this relationship only to be stiffed at the end. share your experiences and please give any suggestions to help me work through this

First off, you have a right to be bitter and to be hurt. You just need to allow yourself some time and don't fight the emotions just let them run their course. Believe me I have plenty of experience in this field, count yourself lucky that it wasn't like 9 or 10 years in my case and you found out that the person you loved wasn't the person you thought they were at all. It's going to suck for a while, no changing that, but just be strong and someone new will come along.

Don't be bitter. Obviously it wasn't meant to be, or so far. This gives you time to reflect and see if she is the one you truly love. If not, move on and find the right person you want to be with forever. This should be enough to keep you from being bitter, its opened a new door for you, take it and see where it leads you.

I can totally understand you being bitter. But when I was in this situation I didn't want to be with anyone that really didn't want to be with me. I just would cause too many problems in the long run.

Give it a little more time and she if she will get a checkup by a doctor at age 25 she could have a hormone problem keeping her from wanting sex, talk to her and see if she will agree to that.If she checks out OK then go from there.
