It seems as though most anti depressants slow your metabolism. But the main culprit is the depression itself.
Anyone can over come their medications making them gain weight. Just eat healthy and exercise. Even if it is just going for walks. Not only will it help you from gaining the weight but it will help your symptoms of depression and make you feel alot better.

I have to get a lot of steriod shots for a back injury and those normally make you gain a lot of weight. But by eating healthy and walking....I am at a perfect weight for my height.

emphatically yes. most antidepressants cause an increase in appetite rather than a slowing of metabolism. you just have to get used to being hungry - or use an appetite suppressant of some sort. small price to pay for mental stability, i guess...although the weight gain may depress you all over again;) your doctor might have a solution - but i'd check with a naturopathic store first.

i just drink boatloads of coffee! LOL!
