I want to buy a new car at the right time. I want to get the best deal on the newest models and I was wondering if there was a certain time of year when auto dealers usually have sales on the newest models.

If you buy a 2006 model right now, it will be on sale because the 2007 models are out and the dealers want to get rid of the 2006's.

If the car you want is a slow seller, I recommend waiting until March or April of 2007 to buy a 2006 model car because then you are essentially buying a year old car. Dealerships will be anxious to unload these cars and therefore more willing to discount.

If the car you want is a rather brisk seller, then now is the time to go shopping. The dealerships still have a rather good selection of 2006 models but they are considered a year old and therefore dealerships will be willing to discount.

in my experience, the best time to buy a newer car is when the next model year is coming out, you can usually get a pretty good deal on last years models, the dealers want to get rid of them so they can make room for the new year models

If you watch the T.V. ads they always have the end of the year sales, they have to move out last years models to make room for next years models. It will still be a 2006 but you will get a better price as they are making room for the 2007's.

Right about now the 07,s are coming soon and dealers want to get rid of last years cars.

If you want the newest, then don't buy an 06 now. Wait til the 07's come out and check the rebates. The 06's are basically a year old as far as value goes.

I've always heard the best time is when the new model year cars are coming out. Then you can get last years new cars at a better price because they are trying to clear them out.

How new... If you're wanting a 2006 you should wait until Jan. or Feb. of 2007 they go on sale so the dealership can make room for the 2007 models...
