Do you understand that there were no Christians before Christ, that the Old Testament was not written for Christians, that by staying away from the non-Christian laws and possibly made up stories of the Old Testament you don’t have to worry about all the contradictions, that the only thing that should matter to you is what Christ personally said, what His personal guidelines for real practicing Christians should be, that you should conduct your life according to these guidelines, and not the Old Testament?
That what happened in the beginning or what will happen in the end are nowhere as important as what you do with your life, how you conduct it according to His guidelines and laws?
Isn’t it always easier to convince or convert by example?

The reason is because the Pastors continuously draw their sermon from the Old Testament. And most Christians believe in their pastor more than they believe in Christ. I wonder if there has ever been a statistic of how many Christians haven't even read the bible, or even a large portion of it. That would be interesting.

That borders on foolishness. The old testament is full of scripture that points to Christ coming. He did not nagate the o/t, He fulfilled it. Is. 53 is just one.

I'd have to agree with you. It seems like so many people pick and choose what to follow from the Old Testament. Nobody pays any attention to the law in Leviticus about mixing fabrics, but everyone pays attention to the one about homosexuals. I find that rather hypocritical.

Yes I do! I CAN NOT LIVE THAT KIND OF LIFE ONLY BY LETTING JESUS LIVE THROUGH YOU CAN YOU DO THAT!!
Joh 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Joh 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Joh 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Joh 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Bottom Line Jesus works through us to produce the (WORKS)FRUIT. Without Jesus all is in VAIN .

good points, but why miss out on the wonders of prophesy in the old testament that came to be in the new testament.....I do know what you are saying, but the two are so entertwined......yes, the old testament is legal and the new testament is love....whichis living under grace.....and yes, it is much easier for someone to see in one what they wish they knew..........but harder for you and me to be that example all the time??????????

For those of us who really are Christians know that Jesus in your heart is what saves you. Not what you do.

As usual , here is a man (a nobody, perhaps) trying to fit religion and its concepts to fit his own needs.
They are all over. if you don't believe, then you don't believe.
Why do you badger this site with dumb questions that you don't want answered and it seems unwillingly to debate?
