The Bible describes Ishmael as a wild *** of a man who will oppose everyone. Muslims seem to be very proud of their apparent relation to Ishmael . Was Ishmael's personality disorder passed on from generation to generation?

Jenny, I like you. You ask good questions.

One weakness of Ishmael was his pride in not recognizing the place of his half brother, Isaac. Ishmael mocked him. Ishmael was also one who put trust in his sword and arrows.

I believe Ishmael's traits were handed down...

Ishmael does not have a disorder. If you look at the meaning of Ishmael it means “God hears” God heard Hagar’s cry and saved her. Muslims come for the line of Ishmael for which they are very proud. Just as God heard Hagar’s cry He continues to hear Muslims cry which is a cry out to their heavenly father.

Abraham’s seed was blessed through Isaac and not Ishmael and thus Ishmael feels rejected from Abrahams blessings. If you look at what’s happening in the world today and for centuries Muslims have always been fighting for their Holy land this fight for the Holy land is not really a fight for physical territory it’s really a fight for them to be closer to their God. Muslims like Ishmael wants God to hear their cry.

God did say that he will raise a great nation from the descendant of Ishmael. Great nation does not mean one person; therefore it does not mean Mohammed. Great nation is referring to 1.5 billion Muslims that exist today and across this globe. This great nation that God has created through the line of Ishmael is to restore them back to their inheritance.

This is the cry of the Muslims that God will hear. The bible talks about the harvest being ready. This harvests includes many Muslims who will be converted to Christianity and worshipping the one true God. I honestly believe God will reveal the truth to the Muslim nation through signs and wonders and Christians today better be prepared to embrace a great move of Gods salvation. It will be revolutionary! So lets not argue about our differences if we say we trust in God let him work out his plan here on earth as God’s truth will be revealed.

As for the comment regarding prophets, the bible never insults any of its prophets. Prophets are ordinary people with special gifting’s from God. Just because they had special gifts doesn’t mean that they were flawless. Abdulaziiz, he who is without sin cast the first stone. Abdulaziiz I am sure that you are a religious individual and a devote man of God but you can not tell me that you have not sinned. The bible depicts many individuals that weren’t perfect but yet God loved them and used them for his Glory.

the Bible insults many of the Prophets. It says Lot slept with his daughters etc.
You cannot trust what the bible says because it constantly insults the prophets.
God said he would raise up a great nation from the descendants of Ishmael. If this isnt Muhammad and his followers, please enlighten me as to who it is~?

Ishmael was a good man, but he failed to recognize the place of his half brother, Isaac, and mocked him. He could have chosen to rise above his circumstances, and he chose not too. We all have choices that we make. We can look and it and say poor me, or we can change. Alot of people chose to stay in the bottom of their poor circumstances. It is a strong person that will raise to the top, and say I am not letting things get me down.
