In this day and age I think the firefly cell phone for the young ones is a great idea. I think if you have to work and your kids have to be at sitters, afterschool programs, friends houses until you get home you need to be able to get a hold of them and track them and if your a nurse like me they need to be able to contact you so my 7 year old will probably get one when he is maybe 12 when he can stay alone at home.

i think of it relies upon on the guy receiving the cellular telephone. in the event that they are to blame sufficient, then having a cell telephone at a youthful age does not be a difficulty. additionally, you may desire to set rules so as that they does not abuse it like with the help of texting or calling too plenty. i for my section, have been given my first cell telephone whilst i became like 9 or 10. yet it rather is often through fact my mom lived in yet another u . s . a . and it became basic for us to communicate in simple terms with the help of texting one yet another each time.

The appropriate age to have one is when you can buy it yourself without parents co-signing anything and you can afford the monthly payments yourself.

Good question. I would say whenever a kid is old enough to get a job and buy their own cell phone, then they're old enough to have one.

it depends,if the kid actually needs the phone to keep in touch with parents,as soon as they can take care of the thing, otherwise, whenever they can pay for it themselves....or if you want to buy it for a graduation or birthday gift or sumthing like that
