I liked the movie, just because you don't like something doesn't mean you should insult it.

The story was original. I don't seem to remember those characters ever being in the Bible. So what if it had Biblical contexts behind it? There are tons of brilliant stories that have been inspired or related to Biblical stories. There are tons of movies that have a "Christ figure" in them. The Bible is a very inclusive text that has a wide base of information, much of which can and has been used in books. It doesn't mean that C.S. Lewis plagiarized. He created a Biblical reference- his creatures paralleled those in the Bible- he didn't rewrite the gospels or anything.
So how can it be wrong for someone to take an idea and transform it into something new? How is it wrong to transmit virtue and hope in a different form?

It's SUPPOSED to be stories from the Bible, C.S Lewis was a christian book writer for adults, and he wrote the narnia series for kids, to have them learn about the story of Jesus' crucifiction, and he kept writing about Narnia.

It wasn't my favorite work from CS Lewis. As a Christian though, if my kids want to read fiction, I would much rather have them read Narnia then something from Stephen King.
CS Lewis is an insightful author and I favor his non-fiction. Mere Christiainity is a 'thinkers' book.
