we were open...and i sold 2 cars....good day for me!

depends upon the dealership and even where the dealer is...
You'll see them more open on labor day in the city than in the country.. also depending upon the dealer, if just sales or the whole dealership will be open as some open the whole place up hoping people on their day off will come in...
But in my area all of them have got a 2 day weekend (forced by the state not to open on sundays and they are closed for labor day)

Some do, some care more about their employees and give them a day off. It all depends on the ownership of the dealership. Usually the dealers that open are only open for sales, the service and parts departments are closed.
Some owners are afraid that they will miss a sale, and that sale is much more important than their sales force having a day with family and friends.

there,s going to be a lot of them open,,they do good on sales on labor day,,a lot of places will be open,,for business as usual,,as for me i am closing shop for labor day,,i own a repair shop,,and I'm going to be lazy,,good luck,,and have a good labor day.
