...just to make bin Laden happy? Is that so hard? And stop messing with them too. Just look at his face on TV. He's full of fear. Why is he so scared? I guess being scared helps you being a better terrorist, cause only when you're scared to death can you scared other people. And why are we scared? All this just cause of religion. Bush doesn't like atheists. He says we're one nation under God. Well, I bet bin Laden's telling the same thing to his people right now. And believe it or not, both Bush and bin Laden are talking about the exact same God. So why don't we all just convert to Islam? I know that I'm gonna get like 50 thumb-downs on this question, but it's okay, I just wanted to express my opinion.

Excellent question. Why don't we all just convert to Islam? As for me, I suppose if a gun were to my head, like the FOX news team, I might consider converting to Islam. Just words are not enough, though. Tha's only the beginning.

The one page essay by Dr. Walid Phares, "Islamic concept of Al-Taqiyah to infiltrate and destroy kafir countries" explains how a convert will become a terrorist:
http://www.fisiusa.org/fisi_News_items/news109.htm

Phares states, "It [taqiyah] is done to prevent the new converts from seeing the real face of Islam; at least until their faith or mental conditioning is strong enough to make them turn against their own country and people."

Not all Muslims blow up things, yet "jihad in the cause of Allah" "jihad fee sybil Allah" is "fard ayn" "compulsory duty" for all Muslims. Why? There are rules from the Quran for combattive jihad. Read this:
http://www.notislam.com/id8.html

What does the tape from Gadahn mean? Does anyone realize that Muslims are supposed to "dawa" "invite others to Islam" before jihad?

According to al-Mawardi an 11th Century Shafi'i jurist:

The mushrikun [infidels] of Dar al-Harb (the arena of battle) are of two types: First, those whom the call of Islam has reached, but they have refused it and have taken up arms.… Second, those whom the invitation to Islam has not reached, although such persons are few nowadays since Allah has made manifest the call of his Messenger…it is forbidden to…begin an attack before explaining the invitation to Islam to them, informing them of the miracles of the Prophet and making plain the proofs so as to encourage acceptance on their part; if they still refuse to accept after this, war is waged against them and they are treated as those whom the call has reached…

In the Hidayah, vol. II. p. 140 (Hanafi school):
It is not lawful to make war upon any people who have never before been called to the faith, without previously requiring them to embrace it, because the Prophet so instructed his commanders, directing them to call the infidels to the faith, and also because the people will hence perceive that they are attacked for the sake of religion, and not for the sake of taking their property, or making slaves of their children, and on this consideration it is possible that they may be induced to agree to the call, in order to save themselves from the troubles of war… If the infidels, upon receiving the call, neither consent to it nor agree to pay capitation tax, it is then incumbent on the Muslims to call upon God for assistance, and to make war upon them, because God is the assistant of those who serve Him, and the destroyer of His enemies, the infidels, and it is necessary to implore His aid upon every occasion; the Prophet, moreover, commands us so to do."

You are totally correct. Islam is insidious, it encroaches on a culture slowly and deliberately. You may be interested to read a document which discusses the degrees of Islam in great detail (50+ pages) -- "From dawa to jihad - the various threats from radical Islam to the democratic legal order":

Well I remember a nice little story about the man who gave in to what everyone said. He ended up getting raped by a group of pygmy elephants.

But besides that. What if they are wrong? What if Islam isn't the right religion? Religion is the most disgusting, but always necessary human element that perverts itself.

Imagine using a holy book to fight a war of dogs. Would any god seriously want you to fight a war by perverting his words?

But whatever.

If Islam, Christianity, or any other religion is correct, I will be judged and I'll go to hell. No biggy.

If you want a religion that doesn't let you plat sports go ahead. Perhaps you want one that treats women like dirt. Maybe a religion which watches over every thing you do and has severe penalties for the slightest infractions. Please be my guest, but leave me out. This also goes for the Christians, live your life and leave mine alone!!!

We couldn't all convert...for example, I am an atheist so I don't obey any gods (God, Allah, Zeus, Athena, Vishnu,etc...none of them). As for Christians, I don't think they would like that because of that hell thing, you know, eternal damnation and all that.

Just so you know I gave you thumbs up because you we're not afraid of expressing your opinion but I still think your opinion isn't all that great.

That's like saying why don't we all just become Catholic. It'd make the Pope happy (and probably richer). Creative thinking on your part, however! And cheers to you expressing your opinion.

Because we are not supposed to be ashamed of Christ's name.

We are supposed to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We are supposed to worship in a spirit of truth not worship what we don't believe.
