I've recently been hanging out with a guy I work with and a lot of things have been said about him. I just need some people to reply to this and tell me that I can do better and I shouldn't wait around and get hurt by him. I'd ask my friends but they just don't get it...so please say something to make me feel better if you can...thanks...

It kinda depends on what they are saying about him..is it something that they are saying because they don't like him or do they have proof for what he's done...it could just be they are just repeating stuff and remember the "telephone game" it never is the same as it is in the beginning... if you really like him then ask him about what people are saying about him if he's a honest person then he'll level with you..you never know he could be the one and if you don't give it a chance and find out the real story you could miss out on a chance of getting to know someone special.

If you are asking the question, you already know that you are better than him.

My question is...are the things being said about him true? You don't really elaborate so it's hard to figure out if he has done anything to support the rumours or whether it is just hearsay. You also don't precise if "hanging around" means a sexual involvement or just a friendship. If you mean any form of involvement other than a platonic relationship, it is really best not to get involved. Office romances hardly ever work and can affect your career- generally not a good idea even with a good guy.

In the end, you are a person in your own right. You do not need somerone else to validate you or your existence. Don't let anyone hurt you. Take charge of this situation; it will empower you.

Best of luck.

If you don't feel good about hanging out with this guy, that should tell you something. You can't always listen to rumors, but if what you have heard and what you feel after being around him makes you not feel so good about yourself - move on. You probably are better than this. Who are a direct reflection of the people you hang with.

I had always wondered what I would do If my boyfriend broke up with me. And this is what I came up with...
I would ask myself why I would want to be with a person that doesn't love me. I'm worth much more. I shouldn't go out with a guy that thinks less of me or who disrespects me. How dare he do that! How dare he play with my heart!
You deserve much better.
And don't worry-there's someone out there for you-like there's someone out there for me : )

You can do better and you shouldn't wait around and get hurt by him. You are better than that.

This guy is your soulmate. You two are made for each other. I hope you're together for years and years. I hope the rumors in the office get more vicious, and you get dragged into them. I hope he cheats on you often, borrows or steals all of your money, and turns out to be married to three other women.

There. Better?

Don't believe just what other people say about him, find out for yourself what he's really like. Then you can decide for yourself how you really feel about him.

do you believe everything you hear? Why not confront him and ask him if what you have heard is true? You need to be the judge of his character - not your friends.
