Let us end your little arguments right now, books of the new testament were written 40+ years after JC died. People were wanting it portrayed in a certain light soooo you get the writer to give you that slant.
You can not even prove Jesus was a real person through 3rd party corroboration and don’t give me the usual arguments I’ll just link the opposing sites. You want to worship some dude as God even though he might not have existed fine but don’t expect an intelligent person to buy the crap your selling.
If you would just read the lessons attributed to Jesus and try and follow the example his life was supposed to set instead of using the copout that no one can be that perfect but God, more people would be willing to listen to you and like you because Christianity would make a hell of a lot more sense.

I think if you look a little deeper at Jesus' teachings, he really did not feel that he was "god" or part of god. He generally referred to "god" as his and everyone father. There was a spirit of bringing faith and worship back to the lower classes and the "people" of his time. As is true now of many faiths, the Jewish faith at the time had become very corrupt and influenced by money and the power of the religious leaders. Don't confuse this scripture as a statement that the disciples worshiped him in a formal religious sense. As they were just reunited with their friend and teacher "rabbi", they paid loving welcome and affection to him. The clasping or cleansing of feet was mostly seen as a servants job to the wealthy. Jesus often cleansed the feet of his followers and outcasts of biblical society as a visible statement rejecting the rules and repression of lower classes of the time. It was also a symbolic cleansing of the old way of thought to the "new testament" way of faith.

Many people were worshiped in the bible - and they didn't all have to say, "Now be careful - I'm not God."
Here's a good definition of the useage of worship from that verse: (E.W. Bullingers Critical Lexicon - a scholar that knew what greek words meant)
To crouch, crawl, or fawn, like a dog at his master's feet; hence, to prostrate one's self, after the eastern custom, to do reverence or homage to ANY ONE, by kneeling or prostrating one's self before him; used there fore of the act of worship.
Someone worshiping someone else doesn't make them God. He didn't need to correct anything. In the eastern culture it wasn't perceived as calling him 'God'. They did have great reverence and respect for thier master - the one who taught them about God - the one who loved them to give them the light of life. I would have done the same if I was in their situation.

Because he wanted to be worshiped, in the Discovery Channel special about Jesus death they blamed him because he was doing every thing to prove he was the messiah of the ancient writings, so if this is true he actually thought of himself as the sun of god.

You are right. All other accounts of people bowing before angels end with the angel telling the person to rise and not worship. When people bowed before some of the Apostles, they too immediately told the people to rise and that it was not them they should be worshiping. Good point you made.

Jesus is god, pretty much. You think that is the only technicality in the bible? Ok heres one for ya, when Jesus was praying in the garden the night of his arrest, all the disiples were asleep. However the bible describes Jesus' prayer. So the question remains how did that part of the bible get written and recorded if all the disiples were asleep and had no idea what Jesus said?
Hmm...

God is three in one..God the Father, God the son and God the Holy spirit. It is to much for our human minds to fully understand. I don't care how confusing it sounds, that doesn't matter to me... I believe, I love him and I feel his love in my life.
For the above people that are so negative about it...if they don't care or want hear about it, why debate? Have your own beliefs and let other have theirs. We will all know one day right? So don't feel so threatened by the Bible...why be threatened or angry w/ a man who tells you to love eachother and not cause pain??

Jesus never claimed to be God, he was just a vesel of God.
He corrected them because he was not God, therefore, he did not want to be worshipped.

They didn't worship him till after he died.
Matt wrote that story after Jesus died.
It's ancient hype. Made to promote a new religion.

Jesus is not God. He is God's son. BUT he is the saviour of mankind, the messiah. His apostles worshipped him because they knew he was the son of God. Like people bow before a Prince, even though he is not the King, right?
