What does faith mean to you and what does it entail?

Faith to me is trust and hope in the unseen.
I have absolute faith that Jesus was born of a virgin, died for me (and you!) rose again. He will come back and not one person will miss His return.
I have faith that He listens and loves my prayers and my praise to Him. He will answer my prayers the way I need, usually not the way I would want. My faith is in Jesus as my King and Friend.
I hope this helps a little. :)

Faith is trust. My one great faith is my God. There are many things that I don't know or understand about him. Those things that I believe about him are aspects of my faith or trust, but they are not the essence of it. My one great trust is that GOD IS (he exists) and he does reward those who love and seek after him wholeheartedly (in other words, he cares).

One way he rewards is by communing (having relational conversations) with those who trust him by responding to his initial communication. I believe that everyone on the planet will have the opportunity to 'hear' God or perceive him, at least once in their lifetime (and usually a great many times).

The only difference that I can see between a person of 'faith', and one who claims none, is the way they respond to the communication(s) of God.

For me, this entails prayer, acts of obedience, repentance (lots of repentance, which is just another word for change of heart)... also, returning good for evil, and loving your neighbor as yourself, among other things. But more than all of these, it's the communing...the conversations.

A whole lifetime is insufficient to express faith in God and what it entails. It's one of those things that has to be lived for yourself to be truely understood.

Hoping the best for you...

Faith is admitting that you don't know. Faith is a form of Agnosticism. Because if you knew it was true you wouldn't need faith. -paraphrasing Dan Barker http://ffrf.org/about/bio_dan.php

I agree with this totally. Faith is ignorance basically.

“Faith is believing what you know ain't so.” - Mark Twain.

Try common sense..it beats faith anyday.

Quran does not say a word about "Faith". You often find this out in English translation but it doesn't say anything about faith in Arabic. It talks about 'Emaan", which comes from an arabic word which means confirmation. Your "emaan" is what you checked on and what you know for sure. Every time when you find out some proof, your 'emaan' grows. Quran doesnt say anything about "blind faith".

Faith for me is a firm belief in God without the need of proof or demonstration. You don't have to see God in order to believe. God is around us all the time, and he reveals himself through the good of his beautiful creation.

It can also represent what you trust or have confidence in or your religion.
