there are far more Orthodox Christians and Muslims in Russia then those who don't believe in gods. The Majority of Chinese believe in Chinese supernatural philosophies, and China is home to the World's largest Muslim population in west China.

Christian ideals have certainly developed beyond killing people over the past 200 years, probably because force didn't really work.

Muslims are apparently still needing to learn this, so I suppose the answer must be the Christians, as people still become Christian without the force.

This may be more because Christianity looks a better deal than that they're gullible, however.

Assimilating... I need a dictionary, But you mean manipulating or converting right? A true christian can make their religion sound very distasteful to the average human mind, or as sweet as honey for awhile. The muslims (Ok, I must put this here, STOP ASSUMING THAT WHEN I SAY MUSLIM, I MEAN YOU AT ALL TIMES!! do the Al-qaeda not call themselves muslim?? put "muslim" in the proper category unless you ARE muslim JUST like them, and lie to us about it.)
have a religion that says that it's peaceful, but they are marked by violence all throughout history and even by their prophet.

I have no clue which is more appealing to people. They both seem to get alot of people and "christian" has many many different sects branching in every direction so it encompasses alot.

They both do an excellent job of pulling the wool over the eyes of the gullible. Since the western world is better educated and is still fooled, I guess the Christians are doing a better job in America, but they are less successful in the other more enlightened parts of the world.

Atheist by a loooooooong shot. Russia, China comes to mind. Your additional details remind me of a question I see on here alot. Basically the askers post "will religion ever be destroyed" And the answer is no. Look, even in Communist/Atheistic societies Religion blooms.
